Building Draftsman Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Drafting Specialist to join our team on a 12-month contract basis, with the possibility of ongoing employment.
The successful candidate will work across multiple contracts for a large building services company, utilizing their drafting skills and technology expertise to improve processes and increase speed and responsiveness to drafting work.
- Read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings;
- Prepare site and building drawings for client facilities across WA;
- Validate drawings and information such as evacuation plans, site maps, floor plans, etc.;
- Conduct inspections to develop AutoCAD site and floor plans;
- Create and modify interactive drawings through hyperlinks;
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in using 3D scanning and drawing software;
- Prior exposure to asset management and asset registers;
- Understanding of AS 1100;
- An advanced technology and process improvement approach;
- Advanced MS Word and Excel skills;
- Knowledge of building assets including fabric and services.
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of permanent employment. The successful candidate must be available to start immediately.
