Daily Living Skills Assistant

As a Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for supporting individuals with daily living skills, assisting with social and recreational activities, implementing and monitoring practices that promote a healthier lifestyle, and empowering participants to achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build rapport and collaborate effectively with staff/management, participants, their family, and friends.
- Assist with liaising with participants' families and friends to explore new goals and ambitions.
- Increase participants' skills with your active support and promote independence.
- Provide quality and professional support in line with participants' plans, needs, and wants.
- Assisting participants with accessing their social community to engage with their friends and social groups.
- Implement strategies and programs to develop/enhance participant skills.
This role involves working with participants with both low and complex needs. Some may require assistance with medication prompts, while others may exhibit complex behaviours.
