Expert Rehabilitation Consultant

MedHealth is seeking a skilled and motivated Casual Rehabilitation Consultant to provide overflow assessment support in the Sydney metro region.

This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic team, providing expert rehabilitation assessment services. You will enjoy the freedom to manage your workload and schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Completing assessments of daily living;
  • Collaborating with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals to provide guidance, recommendations and equipment provision;
  • Working across various schemes such as workers compensation, life insurance, Comcare, and employer-funded schemes;
  • Providing high quality assessment reports.
Activities of Daily Living Assessments
  • Assessing personal, domestic, and community daily living skills and identifying recommendations for services, support, and/or assistive equipment;
  • Completing equipment trials in person with clients, to ensure this recommendation is safe and appropriate;
  • Providing education to clients and individuals to compliment recommendations for support, and/or assistive equipment.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and full registration with AHPRA;
  • Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation would be highly regarded;
  • Strong communication and rapport building skills;
  • Compassion, kindness, and empathetic approach;
  • Well-developed time management skills;
  • A current Driver's License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance essential;
