Senior Property Acquisition Specialist

This senior role involves working closely with the Team Leader to provide strategic advice on property acquisition and transfer in accordance with corporate requirements.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in high-level negotiation, land conveyancing, purchase contracts, land valuation, and relevant legislation interpretation.
They will be responsible for protecting corporation infrastructure, providing input on the land acquisition process, and coordinating dealings with government agencies.
- Structure contracts that protect the corporation's interests and limit liability.
- Ensure all factors are considered in the acquisition process regarding environmental and indigenous issues.
- Administer transactions related to encumbrances, easements, caveats, and restrictive covenants.
- Coordinate and manage dealings with government agencies in the acquisition and transfer of property interests from Crown Land.
- Lead negotiations with landowners to acquire property for assigned capital projects.
- Responsible for ensuring negotiation and settlement of claims for compensation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Traveling within the state as required by business needs.
- Providing effective communication and leadership skills.
- Establishing strong working relationships across managers, employees, and stakeholders.
