Our Rockhampton processing facility is a key part of our operations, producing a range of pasture-fed and grain-fed beef products. We employ approximately 500 team members and operate 6 days a week, with a current processing capacity of 700 head of beef cattle per day.

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate Talent & Community Engagement Officer to join our HR team in a full-time capacity. This role is ideal for individuals with previous recruitment or HR experience looking to develop their end-to-end talent acquisition skills in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • End-to-end ownership of recruitment, including selection, placement, and onboarding
  • Developing effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Understanding the operational environment to support high-quality placements across the plant
  • Developing relationships within the community to support ongoing community involvement
  • Identifying and implementing recruitment and onboarding improvement opportunities
  • Building the JBS employer brand within the community
  • Coordinating and attending careers days and relevant careers expos
  • Developing marketing campaigns targeting local areas
  • Completing required recruitment reports
About You
  • Previous experience in a similar recruitment role is advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment-related laws and legislation
  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work professionally and effectively within a team environment
  • Highly developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to provide situational leadership and passion for process improvement
