Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled craftsman to join our team. As a key member of the crew, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality finishes on luxury yachts and other marine vessels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare surfaces for finishing using various grits of wet or dry paper and orbital sanders.
  • Block and hand sanding in acute areas.
  • Apply finishes to solid and veneered timber products using water-based lacquers, paints, and hard wax oils.
  • Spray paint systems on timber and GRP as required.
  • Perform smart repairs using the Konig smart repair system.
  • Maintain health and safety standards and ensure correct PPE is used when working.

Requirements:

  • Good working knowledge of painting and varnishing procedures.
  • Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Experience working with wood, including wood repairs.
  • Attention to detail and right-first-time approach.
  • French Polishing techniques experience desirable but not essential.
  • Marine experience desirable but not essential.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Wroxham. You will be working in excellent working conditions, with access to a range of equipment and materials.
