Job Title

Rural mental health professionals play a vital role in addressing the complex needs of individuals and communities. In this challenging yet rewarding position, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, providing comprehensive clinical services and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and diagnose mental health conditions, developing individualized treatment plans that cater to the unique needs of each client
  • Provide evidence-based interventions, drawing on your expertise in psychology, social work, occupational therapy, or nursing
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, fostering strong relationships with consumers, carers, and other healthcare professionals
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in psychology, social work, occupational therapy, or nursing, including eligibility for membership of relevant professional bodies and/or full registration with AHPRA
  • Demonstrated skills in mental health assessments and interventions, as well as experience working with people with mental illness
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written proficiency, as well as good interpersonal skills
