Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned professional to spearhead our Information Governance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive information governance strategies, encompassing Subject Access Requests, Freedom of Information Act requirements, GDPR compliance, Data Security and Protection Toolkit assessments, and data sharing agreements.
  • Assume the role of Deputy Data Protection Officer, providing expert guidance to senior stakeholders, including the Senior Information Risk Owner, Caldicott Guardian, and broader team members.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience in Information Governance and Data Protection.
  • GDPR/Data Protection certification or commitment to pursuing it.
  • Significant experience in implementing Data Protection Impact Assessments, data processing and sharing agreements within healthcare or social care settings.
  • Leadership expertise in establishing and managing information governance frameworks, handling Freedom of Information Act demands, information security, IG statutory compliance, records management, and Caldicott Guardian issues.
  • Experience with Data Security and Protection Toolkit requirements and Information Security Management Systems (ISMS).
