About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Associate to contribute to our research efforts in housing research and policy. Reporting to the Professor of Property and Housing Economics, you will work on specific grants and research projects, supporting a range of activities and initiatives.

Core Responsibilities
  • Contribute to producing high-quality research, grant projects, and scholarly activity
  • Manage and analyze data to support research projects, conducting literature searches and reviews, and writing up initial drafts to a high standard
  • Assist in data collection efforts, including data processing, cleaning, transformation, analysis, and GIS mapping
  • Provide support and assistance in writing research, project, and grant reports and presentations for academe and industry, and assist with grant management activities
  • Create, foster, and enhance national and international links with relevant industry, business, university, and community bodies that support the advancement of the University
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Relevant doctoral degree or studies with relevant research experience, ideally in applied economics, housing economics, or property market economics
  • High-level oral and written communication and liaison skills, with the ability to present information effectively and clearly to a wide audience
  • Capacity to identify and conduct high-quality research, evidenced through report writing, research design, ability to search and summarize large bodies of literature, data management, data analysis, and submission of articles
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, including an ability to lead and work within a diverse team
  • Experience with quantitative and/or qualitative data collection methods, including focus groups and semi-structured interviews
