Job Overview

  • This is an exceptional opportunity for hands-on engineers with a passion for Linux and open source technologies to deliver outstanding technical support experiences across cloud, desktop, and IoT.
  • The successful candidate will be accountable for delivering an excellent technical support experience on the full technical stack at Canonical.
  • Key responsibilities include providing technical support to employees, owning new cases via telephone, email, and web, acting as an internal customer advocate, ensuring that each support case owned by you is handled according to our Service Level Agreement (SLA) with the highest possible customer satisfaction.
  • You will contribute to new knowledge base articles, maintain existing articles, draft and distribute technical notices for internal and external communication, prioritize your work in order to accomplish the most important and urgent tasks first, and keep on learning as our products and services grow and evolve.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Hands-on engineer with eagerness to learn and a passion for Linux and open source technologies.
  • Excellent technical skills and ability to handle complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of Ubuntu development process and understanding of timelines for fixes.
