Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Water Management Specialist to oversee the day-to-day operation and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant in South Australia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) Wastewater Treatment Plant inclusive of high-rate aerobic process, dual tank SBR, diffused aeration system, sludge dewatering system, media filtration
  • Perform regular maintenance checks on mechanical & electrical equipment
  • Provide supervision of routine maintenance on mechanical & electrical equipment
  • Assist with troubleshooting of wastewater treatment plant issues including liaison with process engineers / operations team
  • Prepare and submit electronic reports to clients in line with stated requirements
  • Carry out sampling for routine water testing
  • Available for call-outs on weekends

Requirements

  • Relevant engineering or trade qualification (Cert in Water Operations minimum)
  • Familiarity with wastewater plant operation via SCADA, PLC, HMI systems
  • Experience working with pumps, motors, compressors, etc.
  • Settleability test knowledge/experience required
