About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Experience Design Manager to join our team at Atlassian. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and inspiring product and content designers, helping them deliver their best work.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster and grow design talent, providing guidance and mentorship to help them develop their skills.
  • Collaborate with design leadership to guide our product vision and strategy.
  • Partner with engineering and product management to define project goals and objectives.
  • Steer the strategic design direction, breaking it down into actionable tasks and deliverables.
  • Lead team members in creating user-centric experiences with meaningful feedback loops.
  • Encourage the use of data and research insights to test and improve user experiences.

Requirements:

  • Multiple years of experience managing a cross-craft design team.
  • 5+ years of experience planning and delivering user-centric experiences autonomously.
  • Proven facilitation experience collaborating with other functions, primarily engineering and product management.
  • Strong storytelling abilities.
  • High degree of influence with internal partners, including senior leadership.
  • Self-starter with an eye for simple solutions and ability to step into the customer's shoes.
  • Passion for making people better by supporting and guiding a team in constructive ways.

You have a strong background in design leadership, with experience managing cross-functional teams and driving projects forward. You are passionate about creating user-centric experiences and are skilled in facilitating collaboration between different functions.

Salary:

$120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
