Job Overview

We are seeking a part-time Education Support Professional to join our team at St Mary's Primary School, Grafton.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of students with special needs.

About the Role

As an Education Support Professional, you will work collaboratively with teaching staff to provide individual and small group support to students.

You will be responsible for implementing programs, documenting progress, and working with students, teachers, and parents to achieve educational goals.

We require someone who is enthusiastic, flexible, and committed to providing high-quality support to our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and small group support to students with special needs
  • Implement programs and document student progress
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to achieve educational goals
  • Support students, teachers, and parents to ensure a positive learning environment
Requirements
  • A valid NSW Working with Children Check
  • Compliance with the Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead Policy upon appointment
  • Knowledge of and commitment to the Catholic ethos and mission of the school
  • Experience working with children with special needs, including those on the autistic spectrum
  • Awareness of the needs of students with diagnosed allergies and training in the use of EpiPen
  • Ability to successfully implement programs and document progress
  • Preparedness to undergo further training in aiding children with special needs
  • Experience working collaboratively with teaching staff in a classroom environment
