As a transport engineer, you will be part of our dedicated team in Melbourne. Your primary responsibility will be to provide accurate and efficient transport engineering services on various projects.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional with a degree in civil engineering or related discipline and 2-4 years' experience working within a traffic and transport engineering capacity. You should have excellent communication skills to present complex traffic and transport issues to a wide audience.

  • Analyse traffic and parking data using Excel and SIDRA Intersection modelling.
  • Prepare traffic and transport impact assessments for private and public projects.
  • Undertake site inspections and gather information on road environment, traffic, and road safety observation.
  • Assess and provide design advice for intersection and parking layouts and site access points.
  • Obtain and assess crash data.
  • Conduct road safety assessments.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Relevant qualifications and certifications.
  • Significant experience working within a traffic and transport engineering capacity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in a consulting environment or for local/state government.
  • Good knowledge of best practice standards, guidelines, current trends, and legislation.
  • A positive mindset to learn and develop technical skills.
