Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Quality Assurance Coordinator. This role will support us in achieving operational and strategic goals through effective QA practices.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience working within the Work Health and Safety Act and exposure to implementing strategies to ensure compliance with other relevant rules, regulations, and legislative requirements in the workplace.

  • Demonstrated experience with regulatory compliance and audits, particularly in export foods.
  • Maintenance of Quality Manuals and associated documentation, and control distribution and amendments
  • Maintaining programs such as QA/Aus-Meat and Department of Agriculture Approved Arrangements
  • Reviewing quality system effectiveness, identifying corrective actions, and ensuring their implementation
  • Conducting investigations into quality issues as they arise, identifying corrective action to minimise impact
  • Ensuring compliance with sampling and testing procedures, monitoring calibration of inspection and testing equipment to meet specified procedures

About You:

You will have previous experience in a quality role within the food industry, preferably in an export meat processing environment.

You should possess a strong understanding of quality management systems (QMS), food safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.

You will be able to analyse data, identify trends, and recommend solutions for quality improvement.

Familiarity with quality testing methods and product traceability is essential.

You will also need excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

A high level of organisational and time-management skills is required.

You should be able to adapt in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
