The RoleThis position is responsible for coordinating the State Emergency Service (SES) Support Group Team. As a leader, you will be instrumental in ensuring the delivery of efficient and effective emergency services across Brisbane.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and model customer-focused interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate and report on business deliverables including program outcomes, response activities, and projects as directed.
- Manage and develop team members in the SES Support Group.
- Assist in resolving complex and emerging issues, escalating to the Local Controller when necessary.
- Develop, review, and enhance systems and procedures to ensure compliance with standards and regulations, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in coordinating a team in a dynamic environment.
- Experience in handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with a track record of effective communication and relationship-building.
- Ability to work well under pressure, make sound decisions, and maintain high standards of service delivery.
- Understanding of emergency management legislation and procedures, or a willingness to acquire this knowledge quickly.
- Proven experience in fostering a collaborative team environment and driving performance excellence.
