Job Title: Senior Network Security Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Security Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Managed Service Team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive customer support services, security platform/technology administration, capacity management, fault investigation & analysis, specialising in the core network (route/switch), wireless, load balancing and network/application security technologies.

This is a demanding support position that requires high technical knowledge across a broad range of technologies and products. The role is a permanent position that offers a challenging and rewarding career opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide timely updates and ensure faults are given the correct level of priority and attention according to contracted service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Log all incidents into ITSM tool (reactive or proactive) according to entitlement of service.
  • Correctly log incidents and service requests, categorise and prioritise them in line with customer contract, priority, impact and service level agreements with the customer.
  • Proactively monitor and record alerts into ITSM generated from network monitoring and management tools.
  • Attempt to diagnose and resolve escalated 2nd level incidents to existing problems or known errors.
  • Deal with incoming incidents in a professional and courteous manner over the phone and via email.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of customer-facing experience working closely to understand business and technical requirements to develop solutions.
  • 5+ years of practical hands-on experience in lifecycle managing, supporting and troubleshooting core network (route/switch), wireless and network/application security technologies.
  • Proven experience with Palo Alto or Juniper route and switch technologies.
  • Proven experience with Cisco security products (including ASA and ISE) with a strong preference for relevant certifications.
  • Experience with load balancing technology (i.e. F5 or NetScaler).
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Relevant current industry certifications in 2 or more of the following: Juniper Certifications – JNCIA, JNCIE, Palo Alto Certifications – PCNSE.
  • Experience in using Service Now.
  • Experience in Network Management (i.e. SolarWinds and Nagios).
