Diesel Mechanic Position

We are seeking a highly skilled diesel mechanic to fill a critical role within our team.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in heavy vehicle maintenance and be well-versed in hydraulic and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all equipment is mechanically sound and in roadworthy condition at all times.
  • Diagnose and repair heavy machinery efficiently and accurately, adhering to established procedures and protocols.
  • Maintain accurate service records and complete necessary paperwork for service or repair work.
  • Comply with safety regulations and procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Perform general repairs as required, including yard, building, and grain facility maintenance.
  • Prioritize safety above all else, ensuring a secure and efficient work environment.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role, preferably within the heavy vehicle maintenance industry.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems, with a strong emphasis on troubleshooting and repair techniques.
  • Experience with heavy vehicle maintenance is essential, with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with colleagues and management.
  • Effective time management and attention to detail, with the ability to work within allocated timeframes and maintain a clean workspace.
  • Availability to work on a rotating afterhours breakdown roster, with flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
