Senior Property Officer Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Property Officer to manage our Council buildings and land.

  • Manage leases, licenses, and tenancy agreements for Council buildings and land
  • Coordinate property maintenance contracts (e.g., cleaning, HVAC, pest control)
  • Ensure compliance with WHS and legislative requirements for tenanted buildings
  • Maintain lease registers and support strategic property decisions (e.g., acquisitions, disposals)
  • Assist with road closures, encroachments, and community / commercial leases and licenses

This is an initial 3-month temporary assignment with the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to property operations and community land management.

About You:
  • Experience in Council or State Government is preferable
  • Strong knowledge of property legislation and asset management practices
  • Skilled in negotiation, contract management, and stakeholder engagement
  • Proficient in maintaining property databases and documentation
  • Motivated, organized, and able to work independently within a team
