The Opportunity:

We're seeking an innovative Associate Director in Landscape Architecture to join our Sydney head office as part of our national Design team. As a key member of our Landscape Architecture leadership team, you'll drive the growth and development of our LA design offering in NSW by leading and delivering high-quality technical, production, and design input to the National Design team.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and coordinate all aspects of project delivery, including medium to large projects with fees over AU$100,000, ensuring project budget and deadlines are met.
  • Expert proficiency in landscape architecture and construction processes, with a focus on creative landscape and public realm design flair and delivery input into multiple projects from concept stage to design development, landscape documentation, and construction administration.
  • Develop and nurture consulting staff capabilities and efficiency by providing coaching, mentoring, skills, and career development opportunities.
  • Build new and existing client relationships, resulting in repeat work and strong professional networks across various industry sectors.
  • Confidently support or lead external and internal meetings, delivering strategic Design strategies and business plan initiatives, and providing input into team building and social function planning.
  • Achieve commercial performance KPIs, including team revenue targets, utilization, personal fee budgets, and Work Under Management, through strong service delivery and effective project management.
  • Demonstrate advanced understanding of the services and value of other Business Units and the ability to speak to clients about the value other BUs can contribute to a project or process.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to engage and work collaboratively with colleagues from other disciplines and Business Units across local offices and the broader firm on cross-disciplinary projects.

About You:

This role is ideally suited to someone with:

· Tertiary qualifications in Landscape Architecture;

· Experience in a Design practice and/or consultancy environment;

· 10+ years relevant experience or equivalent experience;

· An ability to develop and document complex landscape architecture designs in computer-aided design (AutoCAD) and Revit/BIM and graphic (Adobe Creative Suite) and 3D modeling and visualization expertise (Sketchup/Rhino 3D/Lumion) formats;

· Strong Word and Excel skills to develop contract specifications and costing estimates.
