Cybersecurity Innovation Leader

Firesoft People is a leading consultancy in the security space across the Australian cyber landscape specializing in protecting their partners and extensive client base from ongoing cyber threats.

Their most ambitious project yet is the development of an industry-first AI-based Cybersecurity platform. This cutting-edge technology is a game-changer, poised to revolutionize how they safeguard businesses from cyber threats.

Role: The Chief Cybersecurity Practice Head (CCSPH) is a critical leader in achieving commercial outcomes for the organisation by defining the technical and strategic cybersecurity direction of the company in order to achieve product/market fit for our target market segments. This role emphasizes technical expertise in cybersecurity, focusing on driving commercial outcomes across all product and service lines, innovation, strategic guidance according to market trends and competition, leading product development across all practices, pricing and input to the development of their cybersecurity platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commercial Leadership: Spearhead commercial growth initiatives, drive revenue expansion, and optimize business operations.
  • Strategic Leadership: Define the technical and strategic cybersecurity direction, aligning with market trends and competitor analysis.
  • Team Leadership: Foster a high-performing team, promoting collaboration, innovation, and excellence in cybersecurity practices.
  • AI Cyber Platform Development: Contribute to the development of Firesoft People's industry-first AI-based Cybersecurity platform.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes, foster partnerships, and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Innovation and Research: Stay ahead of emerging threats and technologies, applying insights to enhance cybersecurity capabilities.
  • Technical Advisory and Advocacy: Provide expert advice on cybersecurity matters, influencing technical decisions and driving best practices.
  • Client Engagement and High-Level Consulting: Deliver exceptional client experiences, leveraging deep understanding of cybersecurity landscapes and complex technical concepts.
  • Risk Management and Technical Oversight: Ensure effective risk management, technical oversight, and compliance with cybersecurity standards.
  • R&D Collaboration: Collaborate with research and development teams to innovate and improve cybersecurity solutions.
  • Reports and collaborates with the Founder and CEO: Maintain open communication channels with senior leadership, ensuring alignment and fostering a culture of transparency.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in cybersecurity, particularly in technical leadership and innovation roles.
  • Demonstrated experience in platform development and strategic project management.
  • A strong visionary with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with a track record of successful team collaboration and innovation.
  • Deep understanding of the cybersecurity landscape, including emerging threats and technologies.

Compensation: The estimated salary range for this position is $200k-$220k plus superannuation benefits. Located in Sydney, this role offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining remote and office-based work to ensure flexibility and productivity.
