About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Babcock International Group as a Purchasing Officer, where you will play a key role in negotiating and submitting Request for Quote (RFQ) packages. As a member of our procurement team, you will work closely with subject matter experts to learn the entire work cycle for our procurement and purchasing processes.

Key responsibilities include reviewing current procurement initiatives, minimising risk while maximising value for money, and assisting in the accurate measure of our contractual obligations and performance. You will also have the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional results.

About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and organised individual with a keen interest in value for money initiatives and a strong curiosity to learn. You will have proven excel abilities and experience with IFS (or a similar ERP system), as well as strong relationship management skills. Additionally, you will be an Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.

As a successful candidate, you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You will also have a current drivers' licence and be willing to work from our Henderson, WA base with possible requirements to work from our Garden Island, WA base.
