About the Role

The APS 5 Contract Officer position is a key role within the Regional Maintenance Centre West (RMC-W) team, responsible for contract management, administrative, and other support tasks associated with contracts managed by RMC-W.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with and advise on procurement planning, tendering, and contract formation, ensuring compliance with legislation, procurement policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Develop and issue tenders, requests for quotation, contract change proposals, and purchase orders.
  • Engage in contract negotiations and implement contract changes.
  • Liaise with supervisors, staff, and stakeholders and respond to complex enquiries.
  • Build and sustain productive relationships with team members and actively participate in a team environment.
  • Assess and assist with the implementation of mitigation strategies for the risks associated with procurement and contracting activities, contract performance, and compliance with legislative and policy frameworks.
  • Analyse and seek advice and assistance on complex procurement and compliance with legislative and policy frameworks.
  • Process payment of invoices.
  • Conduct contract governance and reporting activities.
