Job Overview

The role of a Benefits Operations Analyst involves handling the administration of various non-client plans. As part of the benefits operations department, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of plan renewals, installation of new plans, and communication with carriers and clients. Your duties will include collecting and maintaining plan documentation, auditing plans, providing claims assistance, and collaborating with the accounting team to reconcile bills.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Process all aspects of plan renewals, including June, November, and January renewals
  • Administer the installation of new plans, ensuring timely implementation
  • Communicate effectively with carriers and clients regarding plan details and updates
  • Collect, maintain, and update plan documentation as needed
  • Audit plans regularly to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Provide assistance with claims processing and resolution
  • Partner with the accounting team to reconcile bills and ensure accurate financial records
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in employee benefits administration
  • Skills and Qualifications:
  • Excellent computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Fundamental understanding of ERISA and IRS laws governing employee benefits
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
