Senior Business Partner Privacy and Compliance Specialist

The Senior Business Partner Privacy and Compliance Specialist offers an exciting opportunity to elevate the privacy framework at the State Government of Victoria, Australia. This specialist role will be responsible for managing the privacy management framework, promoting privacy awareness and training, overseeing compliance activities, coordinating investigations into privacy breaches, and leading privacy-related initiatives and projects across the organization.
You will work closely with stakeholders, providing high-level briefings and correspondence related to policy and advice on privacy legislation. Your expertise will play a crucial role in building public confidence in the organization's commitment to protecting personal information while establishing privacy representatives across all departments, districts, and regions.
About You- Tertiary qualified with extensive experience in managing privacy frameworks within a large, complex, and diverse organization.
- Specialist knowledge of and experience in the practical application of legislative or regulatory requirements in a privacy context.
- Experience providing high-quality accurate advice and support on privacy or compliance matters to internal and external stakeholders.
- Significant experience within the government or emergency response sector with a sound understanding of the context in which the State Government of Victoria, Australia operates.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills with ability and experience in developing, managing, and influencing key stakeholders in a large and diverse organization as well as preparing advice at senior executive levels.
