Privacy Compliance Specialist

As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the privacy and security of our customers' data. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Privacy Compliance Manager to join our team.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement privacy policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure compliance with Australian privacy laws and regulations.
- Conduct regular privacy impact assessments and report on risks to ensure the protection of our customers' data.
- Support the implementation of a data scanning and consent management tool to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and take corrective action when necessary.
- Support the legal team in investigating and responding to privacy incidents and breaches.
- Work closely with our Privacy Champions across the business to ensure a culture of privacy and compliance.
- Stay up to date with changes in privacy laws and regulations and ensure our policies and procedures are compliant.
- Demonstrated inclusive and interpersonal attributes that align with our company values.
- Strong experience in a privacy-focused role, with a proven track record of ensuring compliance with privacy laws and regulations.
- Sound knowledge of proposed upcoming Australian Privacy Act reforms and the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical context.
- Ability to create engaging and effective privacy training materials for our employees.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with data mapping tools or consent management platforms is highly regarded.
- Exposure to international jurisdictions, international privacy compliance, and frameworks (particularly GDPR and CCPA) is highly regarded.
- Experience with privacy audits, gap analysis, and follow-up, together with privacy tools and practices is highly regarded.
