Cancer Care Specialist Role

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Cancer Care Specialist to join our team in a part-time capacity. This role will involve delivering high-quality patient outcomes and advancing best practice in cancer care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Coordination: Coordinate complex breast cancer care across settings, utilising evidence-based pathways and validated assessment tools.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Guide best practice, develop and review clinical guidelines, and model advanced nursing practice. Provide education and mentoring for colleagues, supporting their professional development.
  • Strategic Contribution: Participate in service and workforce planning, influencing future directions in breast cancer services. Build strong links with oncology, palliative care, allied health, and community services.
  • Advocacy and Awareness: Raise the profile of breast cancer support services through internal and external committee participation.

The successful candidate will be part of a leading regional healthcare provider serving a population of up to 300,000 across North-East Victoria and Southern NSW. Our comprehensive network includes two primary hospital campuses and additional sites, offering a diverse range of emergency, surgical, women's and children's, community, mental health, allied health, and sub-acute services.
