Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled professional to play a vital role in promoting UK science and innovation globally, with a focus on Australia. As a key member of the Science and Innovation Network, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and delivering activities that strengthen the UK science base, increase the international impact of UK research and development, and support growth and jobs in the UK.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Science Diplomacy: Establish and maintain strong working relationships with counterparts in governments, research organisations, international organisations, diplomatic missions, and companies in the UK and Australia.
  • Policy Development: Develop strategic thinking and proposals on aspects of science and technology in Australia, including actions to enhance partnership and influence.
  • Programme Delivery: Oversee programme management and delivery, including event coordination, visit planning, and reporting to meet strategic objectives.
  • Communications: Develop promotional campaigns and activities that highlight UK science and innovation strengths, capabilities, and priorities.

The successful candidate will have relevant professional experience, relevant qualifications, a deep understanding of science, innovation, and technology, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and stakeholder management skills/experience and ability to influence.
