The department aims to support economic growth and job creation for all Australians. Our work leverages and builds on Australia's strengths; supports business to invest and create jobs; and drives long-term productivity, growth and prosperity.

We design and target policy levers to help strategically important critical minerals projects overcome market barriers. We directly support Government policy objectives such as the transition to net zero emissions, building Australia's manufacturing capability, and ensuring regional commercial opportunities.
