Health Equity Specialist

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Health Equity Specialist to drive meaningful change in primary care settings.

The successful candidate will support the implementation of healthcare initiatives, coordinating recruitment and engagement of clinical sites and providing quality improvement coaching and support to embed an inclusive Model of Care into mainstream primary care settings.

In addition, you will contribute to existing health equity initiatives in collaboration with key partners and stakeholders.

About the Role
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience in health management, health promotion, public health, and/or project management or equivalent level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training, or professional accreditation.
  • Understanding of diverse populations, particularly Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples, LGBTIQA+ individuals, multicultural communities, and people with disability.
  • Demonstrated health experience in project management, including planning, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with key partners and stakeholders to lead and contribute to initiatives effectively.
  • Current driver's licence and National Police Check.
