As a Physical Therapist, you will interpret initial evaluation results to determine appropriate patient goals. Treatment plans are developed and modified as needed using relevant treatment techniques.
You will participate in teaching opportunities or clinical education of students and contribute to inter-disciplinary program planning. A safe environment that fosters effective team functioning and positive patient outcomes is crucial.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited program.
- Valid Physical Therapy license or temporary permit. Eligibility for both experienced and new graduate Physical Therapists.
- Knowledgeable in anatomy/physiology, evaluation and therapy, current materials, technological advances, and professional trends.
- Effective communication skills with staff, peers, patients, families, physicians, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to lift/transfer patients and treatment supplies without restriction.
- Understanding of behavioral, developmental, physical, emotional needs across different age groups.
Maintaining a safe work environment is essential. Effective communication skills foster strong working relationships within the healthcare team.
