Physical Therapist Role Overview

As a Physical Therapist, you will interpret initial evaluation results to determine appropriate patient goals. Treatment plans are developed and modified as needed using relevant treatment techniques.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Knowledgeable in anatomy/physiology, evaluation and therapy, current materials, technological advances, and professional trends.
  • Effective communication skills with staff, peers, patients, families, physicians, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to lift/transfer patients and treatment supplies without restriction.
  • Understanding of behavioral, developmental, physical, emotional needs across different age groups.
