Job Title: Legal Advisor

We are seeking an experienced Legal Advisor to join our team. This role is responsible for providing expert legal advice and support, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality legal input across various projects, maintaining a high standard of technical expertise, and building strong relationships with stakeholders.

  • Provide accurate and timely legal advice to support business objectives.
  • Maintain a high standard of technical expertise in construction law, contracts, and commercial disputes.
  • Communicate complex legal matters clearly and accessibly to stakeholders.
  • Balance excellence with pragmatism by identifying and managing deviations from benchmarks during tendering and contract negotiations.
  • Engage and oversee external counsel, managing legal spend effectively.

Requirements:
  • Qualified lawyer with 6-8 years of relevant post-admission experience.
  • Current practising certificate in an Australian jurisdiction.
  • Proven in-house construction experience is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating on behalf of a head contractor.
  • Strong background in construction law, contracts, and commercial disputes.
  • Ability to provide clear, pragmatic, and solution-focused advice in a fast-paced environment.
