Batch Mewing Lawyers is an award-winning law firm specialising in construction, employment, dispute resolution, and commercial law across Australia.

With a team of 30 legal professionals, including 7 principals, the firm continues to grow and expand its capabilities to meet the evolving needs of our clients.

The firm is in a growth phase, presenting an opportunity for a motivated lawyer to join our Sydney based construction and major projects team. This full-time role offers the chance to work directly with the principal, with competitive remuneration and strong career development opportunities in a high-performing team environment.

About the Role

• 1 - 3 PAE
• 'Front End' construction contract review, advice, negotiation and drafting.
• Advising clients on their rights under theBuilding and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act1999 and assisting with the development of adjudication materials.
• Drafting pleadings and affidavits for litigated construction claims, as well as briefing technical construction industry experts.
• Liaising with clients regarding the administration and management of their contracts and claims.
• You will also regularly delegate to and manage more junior staff where appropriate.
• You will need to have good written and oral communication skills, attention to detail and commerciality.
• You will be a team player who operates well in an open and collaborative environment. Experience working in construction law is looked upon favourably.
