We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Publications Manager to join our Hunter Class Frigate program in Melbourne, Vic or Adelaide, SA.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of technical authors, illustrators, and multi-media experts to develop and deliver program-specific deliverables.
- Collaborate with maintenance analysts, engineering, and other key contributors to deliver high-quality publications.
- Review, proofread, and edit publications to ensure consistency and quality.
- Manage cost, schedule, and workload allocation across the team.
- Develop and implement innovative technical publication solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop capability and domain expertise.
- Identify skill set requirements and resource recruitment needs.
- Demonstrated experience delivering large and complex technical projects and leading teams.
- Background in supporting engineering management, test & validation, safety analysis, and asset management.
- Experience in writing policies and procedures, data management, technical writing, and illustration services.
- Demonstrated understanding of S1000D.
- Experience working in a team environment on complex multidisciplinary projects.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to perform tasks under pressure and time constraints.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and confidence dealing with all levels of management and personnel.
- Exposure to structured authoring tools.
