Counsellor/Advocate Grade 2

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Social Worker to join our team at the Ballarat Centre Against Sexual Assault as a Counsellor/Advocate Grade 2. This is a permanent role, and both full-time and part-time applications are welcome.
Key Responsibilities- Provide trauma-informed counselling and advocacy services to victim/survivors of sexual violence.
- Conduct therapeutic treatment of children and young people exhibiting harmful sexual behaviours.
- Manage intervention plans, risk and psychosocial assessments, and write reports for clients.
- Provision of counselling, intervention, advocacy, and evaluation services.
- Attend regular staff meetings to review agency priorities.
- Sound knowledge and experience in undertaking psychosocial assessments.
- Experience in provision of trauma-informed therapeutic intervention and/or case management support.
- Well-developed communication skills and the ability to advocate and work collaboratively in the pursuit of client care.
- Experience in working in community and healthcare settings with an emphasis on sexual assault and family violence.
