Personal Care Assistant Job Description

This role involves delivering person-centred care to elderly residents in aged care settings. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital part in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents.

About the Role:

  • Provide personal care and support to residents, promoting their independence and dignity
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care and achieve positive outcomes
  • Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families, providing emotional support and companionship
  • Contribute to ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with industry best practices

Requirements:

  1. Hold a Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent, demonstrating a solid foundation in aged care principles
  2. Have at least 1 year of recent full-time equivalent experience in aged care, disability, or a related field
  3. Be able to provide reliable transportation, holding a valid driver's license and maintaining a registered and insured vehicle (an advantage)
  4. Possess current certificates in Manual Handling and CPR, as well as a current Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check
