About the Role
At Monash Health, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Consultant to join our Elective Surgery team. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating patients undergoing elective surgery and interventions, ensuring a safe and effective patient journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate patients undergoing elective surgery and interventions, ensuring timely and efficient preparation for surgery
- Manage complex patients with multiple comorbidities, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients, ensuring compliance with ESAP requirements
- Collaborate with surgical units to plan and construct theatre lists, ensuring optimal resource utilization
- Act as a single point of contact for patients, families, and key stakeholders, providing education and support throughout the patient journey
About You
We are looking for a senior nurse with a minimum of 5 years of surgical nursing experience, demonstrating expertise in complex patient care and leadership skills. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Requirements
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Enrolled Nurse (EN) in Victoria
- Minimum 5 years of surgical nursing experience, with a focus on elective surgery
- Expertise in complex patient care and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
