Job Role Overview

  • The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee payroll and manage accounts payable & receivable, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Monthly bank reconciliations will be performed to guarantee the integrity of our financial records.
  • Daily cash balance and cash flow projections will be thoroughly reviewed to optimize financial performance.
  • Month-end close reconciliation and in-depth financial analysis will be conducted to provide valuable insights into business performance.
  • Payroll reports will be prepared, and department heads will be supported with payroll costs.
  • Budgeting and forecasting will also be facilitated by assisting with budget preparation and reviewing forecasts.
  • Inventory management and stocktake reporting will be maintained to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Internal control procedures will be upheld to prevent financial discrepancies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 1 year experience in a similar hotel accountant role or 2 years finance experience in a hotel environment is required.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role.
  • The ability to produce quality output under tight deadlines is crucial.
  • Self-motivation and strong analytical skills are necessary to thrive in this position.
  • High attention to detail, task prioritisation, and time management are vital qualities for success.
  • Fully unrestricted Australian work rights are mandatory for consideration.
