Mine Site Cleaner Opportunity in Mackay

We are seeking an experienced Mine Site Cleaner to join our team in Mackay, Australia. As a Mine Site Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of communal buildings and facilities on the mine sites.

The role involves cleaning bathrooms, waste removal, basic grounds keeping, and more. This is a physically demanding job that requires a good level of fitness and the ability to use a range of cleaning machines and equipment.

The working hours will be on a 7-day on/7-day off roster, 12 hours per day. You will need to have your own car to travel to remote locations and live locally.

About You

As a successful Mine Site Cleaner, you will have highly developed skills from years of industry experience. You will be enthusiastic and passionate about providing quality service and working independently without supervision.

You will be responsible for:

  • Cleaning all communal buildings and facilities on the mine sites
  • Reporting to the Mine Site Manager and Village Manager - Operations
  • Working on a 7-day on/7-day off roster, 12 hours per day
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • 2+ years of Mine Site Cleaning experience or relevant role
  • Australian Driver's License (Class C)
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug screen
  • National Police Check (within 1 month)
  • Unrestricted work rights in Australia
  • Current Coal Board Medical and S11 certification
  • Food Safety Certificate or willingness to complete online certificate
  • QLD Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification or willingness to obtain own
