Job DescriptionThe Coal Training Coordinator role is based in Brisbane and is responsible for developing and coordinating training activities for our fixed plant and load & haul controllers. This position ensures that the learning and development needs of our controllers are addressed with current and highly effective training platforms to accelerate the provision of industry-leading service to our site partners.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to join our team and make a real impact in the mining industry. As a Coal Training Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing training plans for controllers
- Liaising with specialist line trainers to deliver training content across the IOC operations
- Auditing training content to ensure it remains relevant and current
- Working collaboratively with supervisors and superintendents to achieve business objectives
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Trainer and Assessor qualifications (highly regarded)
- Previous experience in coal handling plants, port facilities, and/or mining load and haul control operations
- A proven ability to lead and drive productivity, distilling best practice control operations
- Demonstrated experience within the mining industry, including a strong understanding of training systems and processes, Safety & Health Management Systems (SHMS), and WHS / Coal Mining legislative requirements
