Job Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Construction Engineer to join our team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about delivering complex infrastructure projects and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.
The successful candidate will work closely with our project teams, collaborating with land development consultants, contractors, and private landowners to ensure that stormwater treatment and flood prevention infrastructure assets meet our high standards.
About The Role- Inspect DSS construction sites across Melbourne's region to make practical engineering and vegetation decisions in real-time, assess and resolve field issues, and collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Provide input on the suitability of the Site Environmental Management Plan (SEMP) submitted by developers' consultants.
- Participate in project management activities, including financial aspects like variations and cost options.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Leading a team of engineers and technicians to deliver complex infrastructure projects.
- Maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and environmental sustainability.
- Developing and implementing effective project management strategies.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Environmental or Civil Engineering.
- Experience in environmental, geotechnical, vegetation, SEMPs, or civil engineering projects.
- Experience in the land development industry, preferably in government roles.
- A strong understanding of infrastructure delivery processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
