HR Partners by Randstad is seeking a highly skilled HR Business Partner to join our client in Brisbane's CBD for an 18-month fixed term contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for all people-related matters for their assigned cohorts and will support these areas across all HR strategic, advisory, and operational services.

About the role:

The HR Business Partner will establish relationships with managers and employees at all levels, providing HR consultation and advice. Key responsibilities include:

  • Adopting a business partnering approach and providing strategic, advisory, and operational support to managers and employees across the employment life cycle.
  • Developing and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships with your cohort people leaders.
  • Establishing a reputation for being a trusted advisor and business partner.
  • Interpreting and adhering to applicable awards, policies, procedures, and processes and best practice.
  • Coaching and supporting managers in developing their leadership and management capabilities.
  • Providing relevant HR data and analytics to executive and management to support and inform decision making.
  • Role modeling and championing values and expected behaviors as per code of conduct as well as promoting continuous improvement, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Driving the recruitment and selection process, including workforce planning, attraction strategies, participating in interview processes where required.
  • Overseeing the onboarding process, supporting management in effectively inducting and orienting new employees as well as guiding the probation review process.
  • Overseeing the contracting process, including employee agreements, employment variations, employee leave, remuneration, and other related employment terms and conditions.
  • Supporting and guiding managers to undertake consistent and appropriate performance management processes to promote a high-performance culture and manage underperformance.
  • Undertaking the effective case management of employee relations matters.
  • Managing the offboarding process, including exit survey and exit interview data analysis, identifying continuous improvement opportunities, and developing retention strategies to reduce workforce turnover.
  • Developing new and reviewing existing policies, procedures, practices, and processes, ensuring alignment to legislative requirements and best practice.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary level degree in HR or an associated discipline.
  • Proven HR generalist experience within complex, multi-site, fast-paced businesses.
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • A hands-on, dynamic, and commercially astute approach.
  • Previous experience in a similar role - Senior HR Advisor/HRBP in an Australian environment.
