A senior pharmacist with experience in perioperative medicine and pharmacy management is responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality pharmacy services in surgical outpatient clinics. The successful candidate will effectively manage resources to provide best practice in pharmaceutical care, ensuring safe and quality use of medicines within the hospital environment.
About the Role- This position involves day-to-day management of pharmacy services at a major public health service.
- The role incorporates direct clinical work and supervision of other pharmacists and technicians providing clinical services.
- Lead and manage pharmacy services in surgical outpatient clinics.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and care quality.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
- Registration as a pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Advanced hospital pharmacy experience in surgery and perioperative medicine.
- Demonstrated ability to practice according to Advanced Pharmacy Australia (AdPha) Guidelines.
