Perioperative Clinical Pharmacy Specialist

As a clinical pharmacist, you will play a vital role in delivering expert clinical pharmacy services across the perioperative setting. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the safe, effective, and evidence-based use of medicines.
This is an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with other perioperative staff, including surgical, anaesthetic, nursing, and allied health teams, to deliver high-quality patient-centred care.
About This Role- Main Responsibilities:
- To provide specialised clinical perioperative and pain medicines advice as patients transition through the surgical pathway, optimising patient outcomes.
- To support the Senior Pharmacist – Perioperative Services in providing perioperative pharmacy services across Western Health, contributing to service development initiatives.
- To work collaboratively across the multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient-centred care within the perioperative and surgical settings.
- To promote the quality use of medicines through evidence-based practice and minimise treatment costs by optimising medication prescribing and supply.
- To actively participate in research activities and quality improvement initiatives aimed at improving perioperative services.
