About Our Role

We are seeking a skilled Senior Pharmacist to lead our Perioperative Medicine and Pharmacy Management team.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in hospital pharmacy, with expertise in Surgery and Perioperative Medicines. They will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our pharmacy services, as well as overseeing the direction and planning of pharmacy services across Eastern Health Operating Theatres.

This role is ideal for an experienced pharmacist who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and leading a team of professionals. You will have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing pharmacy resources to optimize efficiency and effectiveness
  • Leading a team of pharmacists and technicians to deliver clinical services
  • Developing and implementing quality improvement initiatives
  • Collaborating with Associate Program Directors to plan and review pharmacy services

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to possess:

  • Registration or eligibility for registration as a Pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Current and advanced hospital pharmacy experience in Surgery and Perioperative Medicines
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of all relevant aspects of hospital pharmacy, including Advanced Pharmacy Australia (AdPha) Guidelines
  • Commitment to optimum patient-focused care and professional practice
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
