Job Overview

The IFYS Child Protection Residential Care Programs support children and young people needing a safe, dependable, and nurturing living environment. As a Residential Youth Worker, you will report to the Case Manager and deliver day-to-day care to young people in the Residential Care house.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support young people to manage challenging behaviors
  • Plan or attend activities to promote life-skills development
  • Complete case notes and admin tasks daily
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment

About You

We are looking for a flexible, adaptable, and open-to-learning individual who can build rapport quickly and remain non-judgmental when working with young people displaying complex and challenging behaviors. You will be comfortable with computers and completing admin tasks required for the role.

Essential Requirements

  • A QLD Working With Children Blue Card or have applied for one
  • Current valid driver's license with no restrictions
  • Ability to provide two references from recent employers
  • Already hold or are enrolled in a Certificate IV or higher in a relevant field
  • Availability for a variety of different shifts over a fortnightly roster
