Residential Youth Worker

About the Role
As a Youth Worker at Wellways Australia Limited, you will play a vital role in delivering services to young people in a safe and stable accommodation. Your primary objective will be to work towards the identified goals of each young person as set out by the Department of Children Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a variety of services to young people to support them to live fulfilling and meaningful lives in the community.
- Assist and support young people with daily life, including personal care, domestic activities, social and community participation, and skill development activities.
- Work with youth who display complex behaviors and provide a safe and supportive environment.
- Encourage and teach improved health and hygiene practices.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and implement individualized plans for each young person.
Requirements
- Minimum Certificate 4 in a recognized area, with a willingness to enroll or work towards it.
- Current drivers' license.
- Ability to do sleepovers and shift work, including weekends.
- Police clearance not less than 12 months old.
- Blue Card and NDIS Workers Screening Check/Yellow Card.
- Completed Hope and Healing Framework Foundation Training.
- Current First Aid certification.
