The Role

This casual Youth Support Worker opportunity requires a dedicated individual to improve and support the daily lives of young people in our care.

  • Flexibility, tolerance, patience, organisation, reliability, and punctuality are essential qualities for this role.
  • Able to act with integrity in times of stress, commit to young people, and understand factors affecting their lives.
  • Familiarity with policies and procedures is required, along with a minimum commitment of 24 hours per week.
  • Willigness to travel to regional locations and collaborate with clients for optimal outcomes.

Your Responsibilities
  • Empower young people to make informed life choices.
  • Assist with daily routines and engage in meaningful interactions with the young people in your care.
  • Contribute to domestic tasks, meal preparation, and other aspects of daily life.
  • Administer medication as prescribed, implement behaviour support plans, and maintain detailed shift notes.
  • Adhere to organisational policies, including Occupational Health and Safety.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid full Queensland Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle.
  • Current Comprehensive or Third Party car insurance.
  • A current Working with Children's Check.
  • A minimum of 6 months' experience as a Youth Support Worker in a residential setting.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • A recognised qualification in Youth Support (Cert IV) or Community Services (Diploma).
  • Proof of two COVID-19 vaccinations through Medicare.
Estimated Salary Range

$30-$40 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
