At the City of Playford, we are building city and community foundations. Our goal is to deliver best practice marketing, communications, events, and activations that build confidence, trust, and connection with our community and other stakeholders.

We seek a highly skilled Marketing and Communications Specialist who will develop and execute communication campaigns and programs aligned with the Council's Strategic Plan and communications strategy.

This role will partner with internal departments to provide expert advice, planning, and support in marketing and communications, including serving as communications lead on key projects.

As part of the Marketing, Communications, and Events team, the position utilizes community insights and data to inform and monitor communication campaigns and identify opportunities. The role contributes to social media community management and monitors the effectiveness of channels, while also providing training in communications and marketing to business areas.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:

  • Strong communications planning skills and customer-focused approach
  • Ability to create engaging material for various stakeholders and identify opportunities for marketing and communications
  • Excellent relationship-building skills and collaborative work approach
  • National Criminal History Clearance or willingness to obtain
