Job Description

Establish and implement carbon development activities for new and existing carbon farming projects utilizing a range of methodologies including plantation forestry, environmental plantings or HIR/IFLM.

Conduct feasibility assessments using FullCAM software tool, develop project approval documents and CER project registrations. Assist in the development of management plans, offset reports and independent audits.

Manage projects in line with the CFI Act, utilizing the Clean Energy Regulator's project portal and ensuring compliance with methods, regulations, guidelines and codes.

Undertake field-based activities in regional and remote areas, including vegetation monitoring and site inspections.

Utilize technology to monitor natural land systems and capture data effectively and efficiently.

Project management across the lifecycle of carbon projects.

Interact with stakeholders with diverse backgrounds and experiences.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Hold tertiary qualifications in agribusiness, environmental science, agricultural science, soil science or a related discipline.

Possess highly developed technical report writing and data analytical skills.

Ensure attention to detail and high-level data management.

Effectively communicate with a range of stakeholders including farmers, pastoralists, government agencies, contractors and native title holders.

Demonstrate proficiency in mapping and GIS systems (ArcGIS).

Exhibit interest in restoration ecology, reforestation and healthy landscapes.

Experience in the carbon industry or carbon methods is advantageous.

Able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Hold a current C class driver's license and experience in undertaking fieldwork.
